Comparison of programming Environments Android and OSX (for IPAD , IPhone)
In relation to the Android software for iPhone or iPad ‘ and a solution for creating applications for amateurs , and not only for professional software companies for the following reasons:
- Apple sells the SDK development environment for its mobile platform and gets a flat subscription fee (annual)
- Android operating system development environment along with the SDK is free and publicly available
- Android operating system runs on a large number of different mobile devices giving users a choice
- Apple need only install applications from the store ” Apple Market ” , which greatly hinders and limits the possibility of programming , distribution and installation
- Software written for the Apple platform requires sending , verification , acceptance by Apple which increases the inertia of the software development , new releases , and imposes major restrictions
- The costs of creating , testing , acceptance of software for Android are much larger
- A small amount of Apple devices (dedicated) does not give virtually no choice of equipment
